Obviously, in this present generation most music label as well as artistes all over the world spent so much on different kinds of advertisement (Ads) so that their records and other project reach larger target audience which are their music lovers.
The same case applies to Nigerian music industry as singers that include, Don Jazzy’s Mavins, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage, YBNL Asake , Burnaboy, Davido, Ckay and others while promoting their songs be a hit or not use TikTok, influencers, socia media marketing among others so that their songs can reach large numbers.
However, Ruger who recently released two songs and one of them “Asiwaju” is currently topping the charts took to his official Twitter handle to throw heavy shade on his colleagues who spent so much on ads for them to get to the top of the charts.
He tweeted; “I am something. For years now, I have forced my songs down people’s throat whether e sweet abi e no sweet either by too much ads or by paying every influencer to make noise about a song they don’t even like. Or by speeding my song on TIKTOK. WHAT AM I ?”
