Samuel Addo says decision not to reveal his squad for the World Cup Playoff against Nigeria is deliberate and well planned.
The Executive member of the Ghananian FA opined that the move is to confuse or leave Nigeria guessing ahead of the game.
While Nigeria announced 30-man provisional squad for the encounter last week, Ghana FA is yet to make their squad public.
The Black Stars will host the first leg at the Baba Yara Sport Stadium on March 25, before traveling to Abuja for the second leg four days later.
“The reason why the squad has not been released is a technical decision backed by management,” He told Starr FM.
“We recently formed the technical team and the management team, and I’m sure they have a reason why and they have their own timelines. It is for a good reason.
“I cannot explain even though I’m in the Exco [member]. We have given the responsibility to the technical team.
“I believe that the squad will be announced soon but I can’t tell howsoon because I don’t know the timeline.”He told Ghaninan radio station, Starr FM.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are expected to start arriving Ghana from next Tuesday. The team will train at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
