Sunday Adetunji guides FK Shkupi to Macedonian league title

Nigerian striker Sunday Adetunji, led his Club FK Shkupi to the season’s Macedonian league.

Adetunji featured as Shkupi wrapped up the title with a 2-0 victory over Removal at the Ciar Stadium on Saturday.

The victory was Shkupi’s 22nd out of 29 league matches. They drew 5 and lost just 2.

Shkupi gained 71 points in the process. The closest team to them is Akademija Pandev with 58 points.

“WE ARE CHAMPIONS!!! . 19 GOALS “, He wrote on his Twitter account.

Adetunji, finished the campaign as the league top scorer with 19 goal from the 24 games to help Shkupi seal their league triumph with four games to spare.

The former Abia Warriors and Enyimba forward also created five goals for his teammates in return.

The 24-year-old will be aiming to increase his goal tally when Shkupi take on Bregalnica Stip next week.

Adetunji who is the hottest property in the league arrived from Rivers United in August 2021.
